Hi, I’m KC
Swim Instructor, Behavior Specialist, and Mom.
Before I was teaching my own baby in the water, I was teaching hundreds of children how to swim safely and confidently.
And before that, I was lifeguarding at 15, watching firsthand how quickly water accidents happen.
Water safety has never been “just a skill” to me.
It’s a responsibility.
And now, it’s my mission.
My Background Isn’t Just in Swimming.
I’ve been teaching swim lessons since 2012, specializing in infants and toddlers during the most critical years for drowning prevention.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on child development and spent six years working in ABA therapy.
That means I don’t just understand water safety.
I understand how children learn.
How they resist.
How they build trust.
How fear develops.
And how confidence is created.
Because teaching a toddler to swim isn’t just physical.
It’s behavioral.
My Approach: Behavior-Based Swim Education
Most swim advice focuses only on technique.
But technique doesn’t work if a child is:
• Clinging
• Crying
• Refusing to participate
• Or shutting down
That’s why I combine:
✔️ Water safety foundations
✔️ Developmentally appropriate skill progression
✔️ Behavior science strategies
✔️ Emotional regulation techniques
I teach parents how to reduce fear, increase cooperation, and build real water skills, not just comfort.
Because confidence isn’t forced.
It’s built.
Then I Became a Mom.
Everything shifted.
Not my standards.
Not my expectations.
But my understanding of what it feels like to be the parent in the water.
I know the nervous system response.
The instinct to protect.
The fear of doing something wrong.
Which is why I don’t teach from a place of pressure.
I teach from preparation.
I use the same step-by-step methods with my own child that I teach inside my courses.
Because drowning prevention shouldn’t feel overwhelming.
It should feel empowering.
Why I Teach Parents Directly
Not every family has access to private swim lessons.
Not every parent can afford year round instruction.
But every child deserves the opportunity to build water confidence.
So I created parent focused education that makes drowning prevention accessible, no matter where you live.
Because water safety is too important to leave to chance.
